Collection and conservation of personal data

Any utilisation of the free or paying services on the Tanuki Club site entails the deliberate transmission of data of a personal nature.
Your banking data is not conserved by our site, but by the information system of our bank or online payment service.
In accordance with the French data protection law of 6 January 1978, the file constituted by such data and the purposes for which it may be used have been declared to France's Data Protection Council, the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés.

In this declaration, we undertake to use your data fairly. This means that we will not transmit the data to any third party without your prior consent.

Transmission of data to third parties

We undertake not to send our customer file, containing your data, to third parties to be used for marketing purposes.
As authorized by the law, Les Tanukis reserves the option of sending certain data to subcontractors, strictly limited to the data required for your access to the service. Everyone thus given access to your data will be bound by a data protection and confidentiality agreement.


Advertising e-mail

We undertake not to send you any marketing e-mails other than those you have expressly agreed to.

Cookies / browser data

Browsing and registering on our website may involve a “cookie” being downloaded onto your computer. A “cookie” is a file which, although it cannot be used to identify you, records data about how your computer browses our site (the pages viewed, the date and time they were viewed, etc.); this data can then be read during subsequent visits
The conservation period for such data on your computer is 30 days following the first login.
We inform you that you can prevent "cookies" being recorded by configuring your browser as follows:

Mozilla Firefox: select the "Tools" menu, followed by "Options". Click the "Privacy" icon. Open the "cookie" menu and select your preferred options.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0: select the "Tools" menu, then "Internet Options". Click the "Privacy" tab and select the desired level with the cursor.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5: select the "Tools" menu, then "Internet Options". Click the "Security" tab, select "Internet" and "CustomLevel". Open the "Cookies" section and select your preferred options.

Netscape 6.X and 7.X: select the "Edit" menu then "Preferences", Privacy and Security / Cookies.

Conservation period:

Any personal data collected when you place an order will be kept for no longer than strictly required for the management of the commercial relationship. Therefore, if there is no activity (logins) on your account, we undertake to delete your data after a period of 5 years starting from the end of the year when activity was last observed.
However, we are bound by law to keep the data required to prove the existence of a right or contract, where such data can be archived in conformity with the provisions of the French Commercial Code regarding the conservation period for ledgers and documents created in the course of business activities and the provisions of the French Consumer Code regarding the conservation of contracts entered into electronically. In the case of such transactions, the conservation period is ten years.
Personal data relating to prospective customers will be kept for no longer than required for the purposes of prospecting operations. The Commission recommends that data collected from prospects should be deleted no later than one year following the last contact from the prospect, or after they have not replied to two consecutive approaches.
Data collected for sponsorship actions on the User's contacts is processed in a specific way. This data consists of the login and password of the User's personal e-mail account, and the e-mail addresses retrieved by our systems from the same e-mail account. Les Tanukis undertakes to use this data exclusively for the needs of the sponsorship operation and will not disclose them to any third party other than its own technical service providers, and then only for technical reasons. Once the e-mail addresses of the User's contacts have been extracted, the login and password corresponding to the mail account will be immediately and irretrievably deleted from our files. The extracted e-mail addresses will be stored as prospects and will be governed by the rules defined hereinbefore.
